DraftTrail is designed to collect only the information needed for teachers to review the student writing process.

What the app records

  • Student display name and teacher-configured class fields
  • Writing content and draft snapshots
  • Timestamps, autosaves, submissions, and paste activity
  • Focus, blur, and idle events inside the writing page
  • Teacher Google account email/name for teacher login

What the app avoids

  • No student accounts or student email requirement
  • No webcam, microphone, or screen recording
  • No AI-detection score
  • No hidden browser surveillance outside the writing page

Student notice

This writing space records draft history, timestamps, autosaves, submissions, and paste activity so your teacher can review how your writing develops. It does not generate an AI score.
